The 2018 Viognier Sierra Mar Vineyard is a great example of California Viognier—classically styled and gregarious but showing great restraint and freshness for its ripeness level. The nose offers loads of honeysuckle, orange blossom and floral perfume with accents of white pepper, beeswax, Bosc pear, fresh quince and wet stone, complete with a minerally undercurrent. The medium to full-bodied palate is fresh, textured and perfumed with a long finish. Lovely! 105 cases were made.- EB
