93+ The 2019 Bedrock Heritage Wine is a tough wine to read today. It is quite tannic and closed, but also does not appear to be quite as powerful or heavy as it can be, which in my view is a positive. Size and weight come so naturally at Bedrock that the wines can at times be a little too much of a good thing. I hope to have a chance to taste the 2019 again in the future, as it is in no mood to show its cards today. -- Antonio Galloni

(92+ points) Coming from a site that was originally planted in the 1850s (the vines for this release date back to the 1890s), the 2019 Red Wine Bedrock Vineyard Heritage offers a medium ruby/plum color as well as a beautifully complex nose of cherries, red plums, lavender, herbes de Provence, and pepper. Quite structured and tannic, it's medium-bodied, has a rounded, layered texture, good acidity, and outstanding length. It's a beautiful, complex, elegant wine that needs 2-3 years of bottle age and should have 10-12 years of prime drinking.
