(91-93 points) The 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Caillerets 1er Cru was stubborn and backward on the nose, perhaps subdued after SO2 was added just after the recent harvest. The palate is certainly well balanced with good weight, though I find a little more tension and verve in the Virondot at present. It should find its voice by bottling and turn into a fine Chassagne, but is likely to need more cellaring then others.
