Pieropan was the first estate to produce single-vineyard Soave, and is among the most famous names in the region. Its single-vineyard wines are famous among connoisseurs, but this Classico wine will give you an idea of the heights that Soave can reach – easy to forget given the volume of cheap, mass-produced Soave on the shelves. It's an organic wine, made from hillside vines and given some lees-ageing to add texture. Notes of acacia, almost nutty on the nose, with firm peach fruit and citrus flavours.
