This is an outstanding vintage from this stellar site. It's been a vineyard-designate for Ramey since 2002, the block planted to a portion of Musqué. Tangerine, grapefruit and wet stone underscore the sharp acidity and enduring freshness—the wine sleek and fine-tuned. Orange and apple-blossom aromas jump from the glass and contribute to its gorgeous appeal. VIRGINIE BOONE

The 2019 Chardonnay Ritchie Vineyard is youthfully energetic and coiled, taking some time to offer aromas of apricot, orange peel, beeswax, crème brûlée and flint. The medium-bodied palate is silky and seamless, balancing salty freshness with an intense core of fruit, finishing with tremendous persistence and nuance. It deserves another 2-3 years in bottle at minimum and will be long lived in the cellar. - Erin Brooks

As with the other Chardonnays in the lineup, the 2019 Chardonnay Ritchie Vineyard was aged for 20 months in 20% new French oak. The nose has a more spiced character, with baking spice, orange blossom, and fresh dough. The palate is similarly spiced and concentrated with ripe pear and tension through the finish. Drink 2024-2036.

A stunning white wine, with plenty of power and balance to the mix of details, including lemon curd, Fuji apple, mandarin orange and a hint of ripe Crenshaw melon. Offers accents of white tea, fresh clipped herbs and creamy salted butter that are seamlessly integrated with firm acidity. Drink now through 2030. — M.W.
