Powerful red berry and orange pith aromas are complicated by notes of vanilla, brioche and potpourri. Sappy and sharply focused on the palate, offering intense strawberry and blood orange flavors and a zesty kick of white pepper. Closes creamy and very long, with resonating spiciness and an exotic touch of candied rose. -- Josh Raynolds

Gingerbread whole-grain toast coconut berry and orange aromas and flavors are complex and well-knit in this elegant classy Champagne. Firm and dry. Lingers nicely on the finish. Drink now through 2012. 83 cases imported.

In contrast to the heavily pinot-influenced rosés (I am speaking in this case of those with overt raspberry and strawberry aromas) this is more discreet and more elegant with a more floral and red berry fruit nose that precedes the pure intense and detailed flavors that are supported by only moderate effervescence and lovely balance and length. As rosés go this is an understated effort with solid if not truly excellent depth and I very much like the precise mouth feel. This could be drunk now or cellared for a few years first.
