Decanter, 95 points: Peaches, lemons, red apples and tropical fruit leap from the glass. Quite a textural Sauvignon Blanc with sweet grass, grapefruit, nut and subtle honey flavours and a rich and creamy palate. An interesting example with...
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, 95 points: The voluminous yet weightless 2016 Hunting Hill Chardonnay continues this bottling's successful run of vintages. Hints of roasted cashew accent tropical fruit, but thanks to a zesty line of citrusy acids, the wine powers...
jamessuckling.com, 94 points: A richly fruited style with black-cherry and berry aromas and flavors, cast in a gently muscular bed of grainy tannins that delivers a smooth, plush and luxuriant mouthfeel. Dark-plum finish. Needs time. Drink in 2021.
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, 90 points: Medium ruby-purple in color, the 2015 Calvert offers expressive black cherry, black raspberry and anise notes with suggestions of lavender and dried Provence herbs. Medium-bodied, soft, supple and packed with black berry...
Wine Spectator, 90 points: Plush and velvety, with a note of warm vanilla bean mingling with the black cherry and plum flavors. Spice, cedar and chai tea elements are intense on the finish. Drink now through 2022. 300 cases imported. –MW
jamessuckling.com, 93 points: Pungent passion fruit and fragrant melon, Tahitian lime citrus, this really takes sauvignon to another place for Marlborough, exposing the edgy, exciting and minerally possibilities whilst embracing the rampant intensity...
Wine Enthusiast, 90 points: A wallflower when compared to other, more aggressively aromatic Kiwi Sauvignon Blancs, this wine offers hints of citrus, stone fruit, flowers and grass on the nose. The palate is of most interest here: It's linear and...
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, 91 points: The 2017 Single Vineyard Taylors Pass Sauvignon Blanc continues this vineyard's fine tradition for producing aromatic, distinctive Sauvignon Blanc. It combines hints of crushed tomato leaf and nettles with passion fruit...
MW Bob Campbell, 95 points: Unusually rich, fleshy Chardonnay in a mouth-filling and accessible style that makes a change from the rather more steely wine I expect under this label. Quite oaky with ginger, ripe peach, tree fruits and a hint of...
Wine Enthusiast, 90 points: Jules Taylor comes through with yet another classy wine, this time in the form of a medium-bodied Pinot Gris with flesh on its bones. Lifted pear, peach and white pepper aromas continue to the palate. Medium-bodied with...
Decanter, 94 points: A harmonious and balanced style with a high level of fruit concentration on the silken mid-palate. A more restrained style than you might anticipate from New Zealand, but this is the windy Wairarapa providing its own...
MW Bob Campbell, 94 points: Intense Riesling with citrus, apricot/tree fruit, toast, brioche, floral and spice flavours. A powerful and complex wine with a multi-layered and very lengthy finish. It appears to be quite developed for a wine from the...
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, 91 points: (91+) The 2013 Chardonnay is a funked-up, full-on sulphide led wine, which is OK because there’s plenty of intense fruit to back-up the winemaking. The nose has a stuck-match and savory / minerally appeal supporting the...

Its always been a pleasure doing business with JJ Buckley. I've ordered from other online suppliers in the past but I almost exclusively order from JJ Buckley now. I feel their reviews of the wines are honest and pretty spot on. Wines seem to be stored properly and are always shipped in proper packaging.
