The estate's 1999 Brut Millesime Prestige comes across as somewhat heavy at first. This shows good depth and up-front richness in its baritone burnished fruit but then loses persistence on the mid-palate and finish. Still with time in the glass the wine comes together quite nicely. Light caramel floral honey and roasted nuts linger on the creamy textured finish. The 1999 Brut Millesime Prestige is 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir with 6 grams of dosage. This is Lot LPR995936XBO036 disgorged February 2009. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2019. -AG

A broad-shouldered style this has weight but also richness and character. Whole-grain toast malt and citrus flavors are matched to a slightly grainy texture. There's a mushroom note on the lingering finish. Drink now... A broad-shouldered style this has weight but also richness and character. With its rich toasty aroma and ripe creamed apple palate this is a rich Champagne reflecting the vintage. It is well balanced with toffee softness and lime juice acidity. Not for aging but currently very enjoyable. R.V.
