Year in and year out one of Turley's superstars is the Zinfandel Hayne Vineyard. The 1999 (560 cases 16.6% alcohol) is a tour de force in Zinfandel winemaking. Again the alcohol is totally concealed behind a wealth of glycerin fruit layered extraction and a rich plush texture. The wine possesses an opaque purple color marvelous purity and a minerality that frames its extravagant richness. The finish lasts for nearly a minute. An astounding effort it will age well for a decade.
