Tasted out of magnum. Dark opaque ruby fades into a hazy pink at the rim. Classic Bordeaux and from an excellent year. The bouquet is alive with alluring aromas of cassis mushroom damp earth and ripe red fruit. Complex and shape shifting on the nose this yields a new aroma every time you come back to the glass. Dense on the palate with terrific fruit balanced out with admirable acidity. Really vigorous and alive. Not soft on the palate just luscious. In a great place now but with a few tannins at the back end I wouldn't be surprised if this was still singing in 2022.

Wow what a sexy wine! Deep ruby/purple with a glorious nose of kirsch liqueur caramel and toast this sweet expansive medium to full-bodied wine marries elegance and power brilliantly. The acidity is low the fruit ripe the tannins integrated and the impression one of sumptuous concentrated fruit... This is the best La Vieille Cure made to date.
