The 2000 Lanson “Noble Cuvée” Blanc de Blancs is drinking beautifully and at its apogee at age eighteen. The bouquet shows lovely secondary layers of complexity in its mix of pear, delicious apple, wheat toast, chalky minerality, a touch of nuttiness and plenty of upper register smokiness. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, complex and very refined in personality, with a fine core, elegant mousse and impressive length and grip on the wide open, vibrant and complex finish. This is a perfect moment to be drinking the 2000. (Drink between 2018-2035)
