A markedly ripe but not roasted nose displays a wide array of spice elements along with liqueur-like aromas of plum, cassis and cherry that flirt with secondary nuances. There is outstanding volume, richness and power to the astoundingly dense and mouth coating flavors that possess incredible size, weight and punch before dissolving into a velvety and seductively-textured finish that goes on and on. This is a massive, even monumental wine and virtually everything about it is atypical but with that said, I confess to admiring it anyway even if it isn't what I personally seek in red burgundy.
