High-pitched aromas of red berries white pepper brown spices and wild herbs lifted by a note of rose petal. Juicy and penetrating; not a fleshy style but intensely flavored and light on its feet with almost pinot-like floral lift to its berry spice and pepper flavors. This wine from a cold spot is one of the lowest in alcohol of Pax's 2004 releases at 14.6%. Finishes juicy and firmly tannic.

It could easily pass for a Cote Rotie in a blind tasting.
