What a nose with perfumes blueberries and blackberries. Very perfumed. Full body with fine tannins and a bright acidity. Love the silky texture to the wine. Wonderfully polished texture. Best after 2013.

Since 1888, only the finest Sangiovese Grosso grapes grown on the estate have been used to make Argiano Brunello di Montalcino. Grapes are selected from the most noble vineyard plots, vinified, then aged for 1 year in both French oak barriques and tonneaux. In the 2nd year, the wine is transferred to large Slavonian oak barrels, which allow the wine to achieve balance. Finally, after completing 2 years of maturation in wood, the wine is transferred into concrete tanks.

The combination of concentrated, ripe grapes undergoing fermentation at meticulously controlled temperatures, together with careful ageing in a selection of different oak barrels, produces red wines that conserve that incredible aging potential for which Brunello di Montalcino is famous for.
