A light to medium ruby core dissipates to a brick rim. Wonderfully complex on the nose, with cherry and floral notes taking the lead, followed by elements of leather, herbs and cigar box. Bright and lifted cherry flavors form the core on the palate while a mélange of spice, rose petal and walnut add complexity. With 10+ years from the vintage, this is still showing lively acidity and leaves your mouth watering for more. In a great spot at the moment, this has plenty in reserve and should continue to deliver over the next 5-8 years.
