Wine Enthusiast, June 2010

A gold-colored wine. The palate has intense freshness as well as ripe apricot and orange zest flavors. The acidity cuts through the intense richness leaving a wine that needs time to fully integrate and then many more...

, April 2008

Cloudy golden color with great viscosity. This is a real beauty as well. Nice aromas of peach ripe golden apple marshmallow and honey. The mid-palate is fat and rich with an almost oily character. Has some spice towards...

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, June 2013

Tasted as part of a vertical held at the chateau. Like one or two other 2007s, the aromatics on the Guiraud ’07 are rather subdued at the moment and they demand coaxing to offer honey, lemon curd and orange blossom. The...

TheWineCellarInsider.com, January 2013

A beautiful nose filled with flowers and spicy, honey coated orange, apricot, peach and pineapple gets you excited. This rich, concentrated wine ends with a long sensation of warm nuts, honey and sweet, ripe, tropical...

The Wine Independent, December 2022

The 2007 Guiraud is medium gold in color. It has a nose of fresh hay, tobacco, and dried apple slices with wafts of toasted almonds and dusty soil. The palate delivers rich, mature, nutty and savory fruit with a lively...

Vinous, October 2022

The 2007 Guiraud has a well-defined bouquet with marmalade, orange blossom and light waxy aromas, opening nicely with aeration. The palate is well balanced with a viscous opening, fine acidity, taut and fresh with a tang...

Wine Spectator, March 2010

Shows dried orange and apricot with a lime and honey undertone. Full-bodied with medium sweetness a fruity aftertaste of dried lemon and a medium spicy finish. A balanced and refined Guiraud. Best after 2011. -JS

Guiraud’s enchanting bouquet of white flowers, acacia, hawthorn blossom, lily, and tuberose are complemented by overtones of forest floor, spice, freshly-ground white pepper, tea, and saffron. Guiraud is deliciously bodied, rich, and velvety on the palate. The fruity flavors are combined with an inimitable botrytis note and candied fruit character.
