Pale garnet in color. Fall notes on the nose of forest floor, dried, small red berries, and mushrooms. Brisk on the palate; lean and racy with a knife-edge minerality that runs from start to finish. Shows its graceful maturity in the earthy, Fall-tinged flavors, yet still sings with a delicate, red-fruit core. Starts to really come together and show its true pedigree after a decant, and then it is impossible to resist. Best enjoyed with dinner, and you will need at least 2 bottles!

Here the nose intermingles notes of warm earth and high-toned red berry fruit aromas that are followed by rich, round, supple and silky middle weight flavors that possess a bit more structure and a relatively powerful, and sappy, finish where a moderate amount of the classic youthful austerity of a young Clos de Vougeot is present.
