Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, December 2011

The selections parcellaires whites tasted include the 2009 St.-Joseph Les Granits Blanc (789 cases) which may be the "best buy" of all these selections parcellaires. This 100% Marsanne cuvee exhibits an amazing honeyed...

100% marsanne. Pale straw-gold in color the aromas are forward and ripe with hints of fruit cocktail and other tropcial fruit flavors along with an intriguing suggestion of fresh talc underneath. This is quite exotic now...

Wine Spectator, April 2012

Still tight with blanched almond and pear skin notes holding the core of green fig white peach and salted butter at bay for now. The long finish featuring mineral and floral notes just sails on with terrific intensity...

Jancis Robinson's Purple Pages, April 2010

17.5/20 Deep gold. Quite extraordinary richness and life here. All the early summer blossom you could imagine with a hint of ginger too. There is enough acidity but it tastes as though there is quite a bit of alcohol...

Les Granits Blanc is made from a selection of the oldest Marsanne vines on the estate’s best Saint Joseph soils. It has a golden yellow color, and on the nose is mineral with floral overtones of honeysuckle and lily in its youth, Tabasco, wax, and honey. Well-balanced, this is a very harmonious wine with subtle spices developing into honey with ageing. Depending on the vintage, the wine can be kept from 30 to 60 years or from 50 to 75 years.
