There are gleanings of complexity born of bottle age beginning to emerge in both the nicely focused aromas and rounded, fully ripe flavors of this generous, slightly soft-leaning Zinfandel, and, while fairly out in the open at this point, the wine still has a fine spine of tannin for structure. There is a little more evident heat than we would like at the end, but not so much as to make for big problems, especially if it is paired up with the richer foods that it so clearly wants.
