This is a DP that shows the ripeness of the 2009 vintage yet remains full of energy. Gorgeous aromas of cream, apple, mango, honeysuckle, and chalk follow through to a full body and super fine, tight texture. Dense and...

Decanter, November 2018

Generous, elegant and full of pleasure, there's lots of complexity in this curvy wine. It has a rich creaminess with minerals, chalky depth and a round mouthfeel. Flavours of cox’s apple, soy, gentle ginger spice, sweet...

Jasper Morris Inside Burgundy, February 2023

2009 was almost the perfect vintage in that nature did most of the hard work, with good ripeness (aromatic, phenolic, and potential ABV) and excellent sanitary conditions (almost no rot). It has that yellow-plum fruit of...

Wine Spectator, November 2017

There’s a subtle power to this graceful Champagne, which boasts a firm, crystalline frame of acidity married to the fine, satinlike mousse and notes of white raspberry, brioche and Earl Grey tea. Seamless through to the...

Vinous, July 2018

94+ The 2009 Dom Pérignon is open, seductive and radiant, as it has always been. Soft curves, mid-weight structure and tons of plain allure make the 2009 impossible to resist in its youth. This bottle, the best I have...

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, February 2019

93+ The 2009 Dom Pérignon is already drinking well, exhibiting expressive aromas of ripe apple, peach, Meyer lemon, marzipan and dried white flowers that are framed by the classic nutty, autolytic notes that so often...

Wine & Spirits, December 2017

Nicole Hakli of New York’s Momofuku Ssäm Bar, found this to be impressively elegant after the aroma suggests such a powerful wine—“daffodils, linden, chamomile and green plum, then it’s surprisingly buoyant for a 2009.”...

Possibly the world’s most recognized and iconic Champagne, Moet & Chandon Dom Perignon is always a vintage-dated wine comprised of the classic varieties Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Elegant and graceful with excellent aging potential, it is produced only in those harvest years that the Chef de Cave declares to be of exceptional quality.

Dom. Pierre Perignon, revered as the spiritual “Father of Champagne”, was a 17th century Benedictine Monk and cellar master at Benedictine Abbey of Hautvillers. He had a singular mission: to create the best wine in the world. To that mission, he dedicated 47 years of his life to invent and perfect the techniques to create a wine whose reputation knows no equal. His life-long work acquired a reputation for excellence which spread rapidly throughout the region, including the favor of the Royal Court during the reign of King Louis XIV.

Today, Richard Geoffroy, Chef de Cave and Creator of Dom Perignon Vintages, perpetuates the spirit of Dom. Pierre Perignon. The wine is produced by Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the largest luxury brand group in the world.

The 2009 Moet Chandon Dom Pérignon is a compelling representation of the Champagne blend, emanating from France's esteemed Champagne region. With an alcohol content of 12.5%, this white wine is sealed with a traditional cork closure. It has garnered notable praise from professional reviewers, highlighting its distinctive attributes and appeal.

Wine Spectator awarded it a remarkable score of 96, noting the wine's "subtle power" and its "firm, crystalline frame of acidity." The review further describes its "fine, satinlike mousse" with flavors of "white raspberry, brioche, and Earl Grey tea," culminating in a "long finish of smoke and spice accents" (A.N., Wine Spectator).

James Suckling gave an even higher score of 97, emphasizing the wine's vivacity and complexity. He noted the "gorgeous aromas of cream, apple, mango, honeysuckle, and chalk," likening it to a "top grand cru white Burgundy" and describing it as "dense and agile" (Nick Stock, jamessuckling.com).

Vinous rated the champagne 94, appreciating its "open, seductive and radiant" nature with "soft curves" and a "citrus and floral-driven profile" (Antonio Galloni, Vinous). Meanwhile, Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate acknowledged its "expressive aromas" and "broad attack," granting it a score of 93. The review highlighted its "notably saline finish" and potential for longevity (William Kelley, Wine Advocate).

Wine & Spirits offered a score of 92, with a review that emphasized the champagne's "elegant" character, marked by aromas of "daffodils, linden, chamomile and green plum." It was described as "bright, clean and fresh," a "simple beauty" that stands out in the 2009 vintage (Nicole Hakli, Wine & Spirits).

Overall, the 2009 Dom Pérignon is celebrated for its balance of complexity, elegance, and drinkability, making it a distinguished choice for connoisseurs and casual drinkers alike.
