Deep dense and brooding and slow to unfold but gradually making a clear Petite Sirah statement this sinewy very full-bodied youngster exhibits plenty of raw power without being a brute. It is loaded with tannin to be sure yet it does not dry out and its fruit survives the astringency that presently rules at the finish. Do not make the mistake of opening this one any time soon and if five years of patience will start to tame it it is a wine that wants a decade or more.
