Opaque inky core with a bright fuchsia rim. The nose is coated with fine French vanilla and follows through with juicy dark red cherry ripe plum and a hint of baking spice. The palate is incredibly warm and rich with mouthwatering blackberry pure cherry coulis and crème de cassis supported by smooth tannins and a lingering finish. Although dense and brooding there is an overall sense of refinement and class to this bottling as it is already firing on all cylinders right now. Regardless it will be a long-lived vintage that will prove rewarding over the next fifteen years or more. A must-have for any fan of Caymus Special Selection.
