Planted in clay and gravel soils overlooking the Gironde River estuary. 12 months in 15% new and 30% one-wine old barrels and the rest in stainless tanks. Harvesting of the merlot began on Oct 5 and Oct 19 for the cabernet. 14.5% alcohol. 8750 cases produced. High toned the perfumed nose offers crushed flowers blackberry and currant with underlying loamy clay soil. The palate is packed with black cherry and black plums and fine-grained tannins linger for over 30 seconds. A terrific petite chateau. Enjoy on release and over the following five to eight years.
