Typically a blend of 36% sauvignon blanc 60% semillon and 4% muscadelle aged in 33% new oak. Planted to gravel clay and sand soils. A brilliant nose offers fresh citrus and floral with a base of orange marmalade. Abundant citrus on the palate leads into a nutty character light mouth feel and a small hint of botrytis. Clean and fresh this showcases sweetness on the finish which falls a little short. This is delicious young and should hold for 10 years. Enjoy through 2025.

Pale to medium lemon-gold in color, the 2010 Filhot is full-on gregarious with expressive notions of pineapple tart, mango pudding and musk perfume plus an undercurrent of key lime pie and candied ginger. Rich, full and marvelously layered, it has a racy backbone and beautifully textured, spicy finish.- LPB
