Wine Spectator - Wine Spectator, March 2011
Superfleshy but very direct with long racy raspberry ganache and red currant notes. Almost flashy but stays focused through the long finish. Tasted non-blind. -J.M.

Bright and fruity with raspberries and blueberries. Full and silky with a long and caressing finish. Lovely wine already.

Broad and deep it could turn out to be one of the best-made wines from this estate. It will drink well for 15 or more years.

Opaque with a vibrant garnet robe the bouquet is concentrated and backward packed with dark fruits. The mid-palate has broad textures that avoid getting fat thanks to some integrated acids and some fine soft tannins that create some tension on the finish. The deep fruit component at the core of the wine is soft and enlivened by freshness on the back palate which also provides some elegance. Some complexity is already appearing on the finish and more should be revealed with time in the cellar. This vintage shows big improvement. Needs five years to let the fruit emerge and will be best from 2020-2030.
