The 2011 Pinot Noir Sanford & Benedict is the most open and radiant of the 2011 Sandhi Pinots, mostly because high amounts of shatter lowered yields dramatically. Floral and savory notes come to life as the wine sits in the glass, but overall this is a pretty intense Pinot within the context of the year. In this vintage, Parr and Moorman dropped the percentage of whole clusters as the already tiny yields meant there simply weren't enough grapes on the bunches to balance the stems.
