Elegant and well structured, this offers vibrant strawberry fruit wrapped around inviting aromatics of violet and spice. This cool-climate Pinot boasts a silky texture on the palate and finishes with subtle suggestions of wood smoke and cinnamon.

There is a subtle menthol element to the spicy and notably floral nose that is composed mostly of various dark and purple fruit elements, in particular plum and black cherry. I like the sense of verve and detail to the delicious and suave medium-bodied flavors that possess a relatively open and accessible mid-palate yet the dusty and palate coating finish is firm and serious. This is less refined than either the Freestone or Devil’s Gulch yet it compensates by delivering more overall power and punch. Note that this too will need at least a few years of bottle age first. 2020+

Dark red core with light carmine rim. Shows off an array of ripe red fruits upon opening, with notes of Asian spice, flowers, black tea and minerality adding complexity. Lush and silky on the palate, a streak of acidity provides nice lift to the fruit, and, along with the fine tannins, creates solid structure. A charming wine that’s drinking well now with its generous and exotic fruit, its capable of being cellared for several years, but should be at its finest over the next 3-5 years.
