The 2013 Chardonnay Durell Vineyard saw 30% new oak but again no malolactic fermentation. This is a brilliant Chardonnay with full-bodied intensity, plenty of minerality, some subtle tropical fruits such as tangerine and mango, but more quince, white currants and citrus oil. It has the ability to last 5-7 years, if not longer. - Robert Parker

Golden straw. Aromas of ripe golden delicious apple, white peach and mango are present and layered with vanilla and baking spices. The apple and tropical fruit are confirmed on the palate with the addition of some white pepper spiciness and tangerine zest. The voluptuous body is nicely balanced with ample acidity and supporting minerality keeping this fresh and vibrant. Drink now and over the next 5-6 years.
