The Pisoni terroir presents itself immediately- aromas of black cherry, currant and cola mix with notes of wild herbs and clove on an elegant and inviting nose. Full-bodied and beautifully textured on the palate, there is a vibrant core of acidity and ultra-fine tannins that elevate this 2013 to something special. With tremendous length, this is a beautiful expression of this famous vineyard in a top vintage. This is already drinking extremely well, and should continue to do so for another 10-15 years. Easily the top wine from this team, the 2013 Pinot Noir Pisoni Vineyard offers sensational minerality in its underbrush, cassis and currant-laced bouquet. One of the richer, more full-bodied efforts, it has a great mid-palate, pure, concentrated fruit and fine tannin, all of which will keep it drinking nicely through 2023.
