(BH92-95 points) Once again there is ample menthol character to the overtly spicy aromas of plum liqueur and violet. The impressively rich and broad-shouldered flavors also possess outstanding mid-palate concentration with plenty of extract that completely coats the mouth and buffers the very firm tannic spine on the hugely long, powerful and balanced finish. This is a knockout with superb aging potential. 2028+

Perfumed peppery lift and sexy floral tones add interest to the aromas of red raspberry and red cherry. Seamless, savory wine with a slightly medicinal cast to its sappy flavors of red berries and spicy underbrush. Quite youthful, even medicinal, on the back end but the tannins are sweet. Compared to this wine, the 2012 version has higher acidity and more tannins, noted winemaker Weber.

(WA88-90 points) From the domaine's small 0.24-hectare parcel, the 2013 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru is ripe and pretty, if slightly monochromatic, with a blueberry-scented bouquet that needs a little more energy and animation. The palate is medium-bodied with a confit entry, black cherries intermingling with raisin and fresh prune, with decent definition toward the finish. This feels candied but lacking authority. - Neal Martin
