MW Bob Campbell, August 2017

Deep red/purple: an outstanding color in depth and hue. The bouquet is clean, fresh and alive, with bright black fruit and violet aromas, touches of cedar and toasty oak, the palate very deep and concentrated, with lush...

James Halliday, September 2017

The unadorned purity of this cabernet follows precisely in the footsteps of its predecessors. The '13 regional vintage was highly rated at the time, a rating justified today. Destemmed, crushed, matured for 12 months in...

jamessuckling.com, January 2018

Aromas of black licorice, black berry and rust. Hot stone. Full body, layered and juicy with loads of fresh fruit and chewy tannins. Sexy, muscular cabernet with tone and focus. Screw cap. Hard not to drink now. Better in...

Decanter,

The improved performance of the Leeuwin reds continues here, with ripe, sweet blackcurrant fruit that is wonderfully concentrated, deep and long, with impressive weight. This has elegance, great finesse and finishes...

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, February 2024

(94+ points) The 2013 Art Series Cabernet Sauvignon hails from a warmer year that was responsible for some wines across the region that are typified by a buxom outlay of rich, ripe fruit. The last days of 2012 got hail...

Vinous, July 2021

Dark, bright-rimmed ruby. Highly expressive, oak-spiced cherry, black currant and floral pastille aromas are complemented by suggestions of vanilla and pipe tobacco. Smooth, seamless and penetrating on the palate...

Wine Enthusiast, August 2018

This wine is elegant and finessed, with aromas of bright red current, cedar, smoke, pencil lead, rose, bay leaf and baking spices. The medium-bodied palate offers tobacco and red berry flavors ensconced in ultrafine...

Wine Spectator, December 2017

A bright mouthful of cherry, raspberry and currant flavors, full of energy and transparency to the notes of mineral, dried herb, toast, vanilla and dense espresso. Shows plenty of power on a velvety frame. Drink now...

Leeuwin Estate is a family-owned Australian winery and one of the five founding wineries in the now famous Margaret River district of Western Australia. Formerly a cattle ranch, the property was converted to vineyards by Denis and Tricia Horgan upon the advice of legendary Napa Valley winemaker Robert Mondavi when he visited Australia and saw the estate’s potential as being ideal for the production of premium wines.

The estate enjoyed its first commercial vintage in 1979 and was quickly thrust into the international spotlight when Decanter Magazine gave its highest recommendation to the 1980 "Art Series" Chardonnay. Leeuwin now exports to 30 markets. The estate releases wines under the Art Series, Prelude Vineyards and Siblings labels.

Celebrating the combination of fine wine, food, art and music, Leeuwin features an award winning restaurant, cellar door and art gallery. The estate is renowned for staging spectacular events and welcoming visitors from around the world.
