I always love this cuvee, and the 2013 Beautiful Earth Proprietary Red is a great wine. Made from mostly Syrah (with 13% Grenache and 8% Mourvedre), its vibrant purple color is followed by fabulous notes of blackberries, blueberries, bay leaf, crushed rocks and spring flowers. Rich, concentrated and structured, with both purity and balance, it's superb already, but will keep for a decade. It's also a terrific value at this quality level. - Jeb Dunnuck

Opaque, inky ruby at the core. Ripe, liqueur-ish red and black fruit on the nose, supported by a lifted, candied fruit and floral edge. Dense and powerful on the palate. Still tight with packed tannin and mid-palate weight and yet to begin to unwind around the mouthwatering acidity running from start to finish. A meaty, muscular, yet poised expression of (predominantly) Syrah that shows enough elegance to make you want to lay it down for 5-10 years.

Dense but well-focused, with a core of rich fruit. Aromas of dark berry and fresh pepper combine with rich, balanced flavors of plum, licorice and crushed rock. The tannins are firm but ripe. Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2026. 1,025 cases made. –TF
