I very much like the mouth feel of the middle weight plus flavors as the abundant dry extract coats the firm supporting tannin spine and pushes it to the background, indeed to the point where this robust effort is presently quite suave and agreeable. However, make no mistake, this is built for the long-term and unless you're going to drink this when it's very young it would be better to plan on allowing this to rest at least 10 years in the cellar.

The core of black cherry is accented by smoke, tar, mineral and spice in this intense, complex red. Balanced, turning more elegant and spicy on the finish. This will need time to reveal all its facets. Best from 2020 through 2035. - B.S.
