Perfumed with apple, green mangoes, perfume and honeysuckle. Medium-bodied with a creamy and integrated texture and a subtle finish. Bitters. Botanicals. Intense. Drink or hold.

Decanter, June 2023

Silky, narrowly sculpted and serene, Dom Pérignon 2013 is a less hedonistic release than the 2012 (and less intensely energetic than the 2008), but showcases a beautiful mid-place between tension and expressiveness...

Wine Spectator, November 2022

Vivid acidity and a chalky underpinning make a crystalline frame for finely detailed notes of ripe melon, mandarin orange, toasted brioche and candied ginger in this harmonious Champagne, which is expressive and expansive...

jebdunnuck.com, December 2024

(95+ points) A bright sliver/straw color, the 2013 Dom Perignon is spritely and compact, with a pretty, if not a little reserved, aromatic profile on opening, with notes of powdery white flowers, smoky wet stone...

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, April 2023

Disgorged in October 2022, the 2013 Dom Pérignon is a charming and elegant vintage for this cuvée. It reveals complex aromas of buttery pastry, spices, citrus oil, almonds, honey and, with aeration, a touch of smoke. The...

Vinous, March 2024

The 2013 Dom Pérignon is pretty closed right now. Deep and layered, the 2013 shows quite a bit of density today. It's a typical wine for this vintage, a year marked by a warm summer but a late harvest because the growing...

Wine & Spirits, February 2023

The fruit in this vintage sustained its firm, juicy apple freshness through a late harvest, layering earthy notes of pomme de terre into the leesy depths of flavor. Christy Frank found it “plush and plump with old-school...

Possibly the world’s most recognized and iconic Champagne, Moet & Chandon Dom Perignon is always a vintage-dated wine comprised of the classic varieties Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Elegant and graceful with excellent aging potential, it is produced only in those harvest years that the Chef de Cave declares to be of exceptional quality.

Dom. Pierre Perignon, revered as the spiritual “Father of Champagne”, was a 17th century Benedictine Monk and cellar master at Benedictine Abbey of Hautvillers. He had a singular mission: to create the best wine in the world. To that mission, he dedicated 47 years of his life to invent and perfect the techniques to create a wine whose reputation knows no equal. His life-long work acquired a reputation for excellence which spread rapidly throughout the region, including the favor of the Royal Court during the reign of King Louis XIV.

Today, Richard Geoffroy, Chef de Cave and Creator of Dom Perignon Vintages, perpetuates the spirit of Dom. Pierre Perignon. The wine is produced by Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the largest luxury brand group in the world.

The 2013 Moet Chandon Dom Perignon is a Champagne blend from the renowned Champagne region in France. Crafted by the esteemed producer Moet Chandon, this vintage has garnered high praise from multiple professional reviewers, highlighting its complex profile and balanced character.

James Suckling rated this wine a stellar 97 points, describing it as "perfumed with apple, green mangoes, perfume, and honeysuckle." He notes its medium body and creamy, integrated texture, finishing subtly with hints of bitters and botanicals. Suckling concludes that it is "intense" and suitable for drinking now or holding onto for further aging.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate also lauds the 2013 Dom Perignon, giving it a 95-point rating. Reviewer Yohan Castaing describes it as "charming and elegant," noting the complex aromas of "buttery pastry, spices, citrus oil, almonds, honey, and a touch of smoke." Castaing highlights its medium to full body, perfect balance, and a delicate earthy note in the finish. He attributes these characteristics to the long, cool growing season of the vintage.

Wine Spectator awarded this Champagne 96 points, emphasizing its "vivid acidity and a chalky underpinning." The review highlights the "finely detailed notes of ripe melon, mandarin orange, toasted brioche, and candied ginger." It is described as harmonious, expansive, and creamy, yet with a sense of finesse and restraint. This vintage is recommended for drinking now through 2037.

Vinous gave the 2013 Dom Perignon a 94-point rating, with Antonio Galloni calling it "delicate and understated." Galloni draws parallels to the 2004 vintage but notes a bit more mid-palate richness. He mentions flavors of "apricot, tangerine peel, white flowers, jasmine, mint, and light honeyed notes," and appreciates its vinous intensity and openness.

Wine & Spirits also rated it 94 points. The review notes its "firm, juicy apple freshness" and "leesy depths of flavor," along with "old-school notes of caramel" and "hazelnut toastiness." This vintage is a blend of 51% Chardonnay and 49% Pinot Noir, and was disgorged in October 2021.

Lastly, Decanter awarded the wine 96 points, describing it as "silky, narrowly sculpted, and serene." The review mentions "orange-colored fruit – apricots, mango, and orange," with "snappy lemon syrup and delicate red fruits." The palate is noted for its considerable detail and length, with some trademark Dom Perignon smokiness. Decanter suggests that cellaring will enhance its inner complexity, making it one of the finest Dom Perignon releases in recent times.

Overall, the 2013 Moet Chandon Dom Perignon is highly regarded for its balanced profile, complex aromas, and potential for aging, making it a noteworthy vintage in the world of Champagne.
