First released in 2005 as a special project of Tenuta Sette Ponti's Antonio Moretti, Orma translates to “mark” or “footprint”. A blend of 50% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 20% Cabernet Franc, the wine is aged for 12 months in French barriques. Delighting critics and connoisseurs alike, this single-estate Super Tuscan has received many awards and accolades.

The 2013 Orma Proprietary Blend from Tuscany's Bolgheri region is a notable wine that has garnered high praise from several respected reviewers. This wine is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc, featuring a substantial 15.0% alcohol content.

James Suckling awarded the wine an impressive 98 points, describing it as a "great wine" with aromas of blackberry, burnt orange, licorice, and spice. He highlighted its "super integrated and fine tannins" and "fabulous depth of fruit and center palate," recommending it for drinking from 2017 onwards.

Wine Spectator's B.S. gave the wine a score of 94, noting its "fine depth and concentrated fruit" with flavors of cherry, blackberry, spice, and earth. They praised its "fleshy, structured and fresh" nature, suggesting it would be at its best between 2019 and 2032.

Monica Larner from Robert Parker's Wine Advocate rated it 95 points, emphasizing its "deep, rich color and an opulent style" that reflects the vintage's sun-drenched conditions. She remarked on its "full-bodied" nature, balanced by elegance and finesse, with black fruit, dried blackberry, and spice blending seamlessly. Larner expects it to evolve well over the next decade.

Devon Magee from JJ Buckley echoed the praise with another 94-point review, describing the wine's "deep ruby" color and "super expressive" nose, dominated by Cabernet Franc aromas. The wine's "brilliant core of berry fruit" and "mouthwatering acidity" were noted, along with its potential to age gracefully for 20+ years.

Vinous gave the wine 93 points, highlighting its "dark red cherry, plum, mocha, espresso, licorice and smoke" flavors. They noted that it gains "creaminess and amplitude" with time in the glass, calling it a "terrific example" of Tuscan coastal style.

Overall, the 2013 Orma Proprietary Blend is a critically acclaimed wine celebrated for its complexity, structure, and aging potential.
