Purple core with a ruby rim. Opens with an expressive nose of violets, ripe dark berries and hints of tobacco. Fairly rich on the palate, with flavors of jammy ripe berries, cassis liqueur and brambly spice fanning out over a velvety smooth mouth feel. This exhibits great balance however, with plenty of acid to keep things lively and medium tannins to boot. Enjoy this now and over the next 5+ years.
