(WS90-93 points) Very bright and engaging, with a range of green almond, glazed pear, creamed yellow apple and apricot notes all stretching out nicely already. Flecks of ginger, toasted peach and guava fill in the finish. - JM

(91+ points) Pale lemon colored, the 2013 Sigalas Rabaud has a drop dead gorgeous nose of candied ginger, nutmeg and orange blossoms with and apple and pears core plus a waft of acacia honey. The palate is rich, perfumed and sparked with bags of spices, featuring great freshness and finishing long.- LPB

The 2013 Sigalas Rabaud does not have the same sense of charm as the 2021, clearly not as complex, more resinous in style with touches of Manuka honey and pineapple. The palate is actually where the quality lies: viscous on the entry, and nutmeg and hints of Indian spice dovetail into quite a generous, honeyed finish. In fact, the palate is so good that it makes me wish the aromatics had kept pace. Tasted from a bottle sent directly from Sigalas Rabaud to the UK. -- Neal Martin
