Smokey garnet from core to rim. The nose is a pleasant mix of just ripe cherries and pomegranate, damp earth, forest floor, and a trace of spearmint. The palate is seamless with fine tannins and consistent with the nose – bright, high-toned red fruit meld with savory, earthy components. A graceful line of acidity guides everything through to a pleasantly long finish. Light/medium bodied this is an easy drinking Chambolle that is readily accessible now and will continue to provide pleasure for the next 5-10 years.
