Vineyard 29's 2014 Cabernet Franc is terrific. Mocha, espresso, red cherry and plum are all woven together in this striking, beautifully layered wine. The 2014 Cabernet Franc 29 Estate is 94% Cabernet Franc and 6% Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2013 was utterly profound, and this one is nearly as outstanding, but a lovely wine, even if it comes in slightly behind its slightly older sibling. Beautiful blueberry, black raspberry, floral notes and forest floor jump from the glass of this medium-bodied wine with great concentration, purity and character. It is pure, cutting a relatively discreet feel across the palate, while at the same time offering intensity and personality. Drink it over the next 15+ years. - RP
