Light ruby. Delicate and enticing aromas of black cherry, flinty minerality, leather and spice. This comes across rather gracefully on entry, with light and ethereal feel that belies the expressive flavors of mineral-flecked, spicy red fruit. Offering a lot of complexity and pleasure right out of the gate, with easy tannins and mild, yet present acidity. While this will continue to evolve over the next few years, a bit of air opens this up nicely for immediate enjoyement.

Perhaps the most accessible, least structured of the estate pinots from Evening Land, this one leads with a heady strawberry scent and flavors that are ripe and juicy, without feeling dense. It’s delicious and round, ready to pour alongside caponata. (3,372 cases)
