Dark, almost black at the core with a light purple rim. Aromas of black and purple fruit mix with notes of cigar box, saddle leather and cardamom on a forward, distinctly Napa nose. Silky upon entry, the tannins are fine-grained and lend an air of elegance to the powerful, dark fruit. There is just enough acidity at the core to offer a touch of lift on the finish. Still tightly wound, this will benefit from a few years in the cellar, and should drink beautifully for another 15-20 years thereafter.

Deep purple-black in color, the 2015 Estate 'Heritage Selection' Cabernet Sauvignon has an enticing nose of chocolate box, blackberry pie and preserved plums with touches of aniseed, unsmoked cigars and chargrill plus a waft of Chinese five spice. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is finely crafted with elegantly played black fruit preserves and exotic spice layers, structured with very finely grained tannins and a lively backbone, finishing on a fruitcake note. 750 cases were made. -Lisa Perrotti-Brown
