Ruby from core to rim, the 2016 Jules Taylor Pinot Noir elicits a nose of dark fruit enhanced by an intriguing citrus element and rounded out with spice-box and cedar notes. On the palate things get juicier, with lip-smacking fruit on the front end. This transitions to a citrus zest-laced finish while soft tannin and moderate acidity keep things interesting. With the 2015 earning a spot in Spectator’s top 100 of 2016 there’s no reason to think the newest release won’t end up with similar accolades. Drink now through 2022.
