The 2016 Plince is a blend of 79% Merlot and 21% Cabernet Franc. It has a medium garnet-purple color and offers up scents of red and black currants, black cherries and mulberries with scorched earth, bay leaves and iron ore nuances plus a hint of violets. Medium-bodied, the palate is packed with energetic red and black fruits, textured with ripe, rounded tannins and loads of freshness, finishing on a compelling mineral note. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown

The 2016 Plince is a soft, fruity wine. Plump, juicy and inviting, the 2016 offers plenty of immediacy. The 2016 is not especially complex, but it is quite delicious. Some of the slightly awkward notes I saw en primeur have resolved themselves during élevage. I would prefer to drink it sooner rather than later. -- Antonio Galloni
