95+ From weathered gray slate, Busch's 2016 Pündericher Marienburg Riesling GG "Falkenlay" offers a clear, pure and fine, highly complex and smoky bouquet of crushed stones and bright fruit aromas. Full-bodied, lush and salty, this is an enormously tensioned and intense Riesling that reveals a concentrated fruit core with a long, elegant and tensioned finish. The texture is almost silky and the minerality perfectly integrated. This is one of the finest of the 2016 GGs from the Mosel. A very young and powerful wine in which the aromas of ripe stone fruits, creaminess and mineral freshness are all well-balanced in a very exciting way.
