I do think that Château Thivin made really gorgeous 2017s, so I thought we might try their Cuvée Zaccharie which is the top end, barrel-aged bottling. I feared that as such, it would need more time, which indeed it does. Nonetheless this is a fine dense Beaujolais with first class fruit and as the oak is integrating nicely, I switched glasses to one which brings out acidity and softens tannin, so as to get the best result. This will be a very good wine to drink in another few years, but for now I would recommend taking a look at the regular Sept Vignes bottling.
