(92+ points) The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Les Sentiers 1er Cru is very reduced on the nose and not as clean as I would like, coming across a little funky. The medium-bodied palate offers chewy tannins and good weight. Quite muscular, with raspberry and cranberry notes toward the slightly austere, Morey-like finish, which leaves a pleasant peppery aftertaste. I would afford this three years in bottle before broaching, because it could coalesce into a very fine Chambolle. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting.
