Sweet tobacco, dried herbs, mint, pepper and spice give the 2017 striking aromatic presence to play off a core of ripe red cherry fruit. Medium in body yet wonderfully deep and fleshy, the 2017 has so much to offer. I like it as much from bottle as I did from barrel. -- Antonio Galloni

Starting with 2009, this wine has been on a tear, progressing and improving with every vintage. Even in a difficult year of devastating frost, this is a beauty. There is a silky, plush, velvety quality to the fruit, paired with purity and sweetness that stands out. You should give this 3-5 years or more in the cellar and the wine should hit the top of my range.

Medium-bodied, the palate delivers mouth-coating, muscular black fruits with a firm backbone of rounded tannins and a long, minerally finish.- LPB
