(94-97 points) Their holding is by the Combe Grisard with lots of stones. Gorgeous deep purple, fresher than the Charmes. A wealth of warmly ripe fruit with a spice or two, but not over the top. Perfumed, ripe cherries, an excellent concentration of fruit across the palate. The fruit is fresher and marries better with the tannins than Charmes. Spice from the stones. Interesting, complex wine, recommended!

Latricières is the coolest of Gevrey-Chambertin's array of Grands Crus and really comes into its own in years like 2018 when the summer is like a furnace. This parcel is located close to Clos de la Roche in Morey-St-Denis at the foot of the Combe Grisard and has produced a saline, rose petal-perfumed Pinot Noir of balletic poise and elegance with just the right amount of underlying grip and focus.

(94 - 96 points) Aromas of cassis, wild berries, blood orange and coniferous forest floor introduce the 2018 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru, a full-bodied, immensely refined wine that's built around powdery tannins and a bright spine of acidity. Long and perfumed, this is a superb bottle in the making that will reward bottle age.- WK

Old vines dating to 1958 are the basis of this concentrated wine. Bold tannins and swathes of black fruits combine with the structure to give a wine that is superb and has an enormous life ahead. Wait at least until 2025. — Roger Voss
