From a 0.83ha parcel in Le Rognet, in the village of Ladoix, next to the Clos des Cortons Faiveley. Although this is given the same half-new casks and bâtonnage treatment as the Bâtard, it is considerably more discreet, almost closed initially. On the palate, it begins to open up with notes of apricot and pear fruit, mineral, spice and lemon peel. The texture is rich, almost fat, but sleekly elegant, with a finish that grows over time.
