Smoky nose, roasted spices intertwined with blueberry and raspberry fruit. Fairly light-bodied, with a good sense of brightness. Good acidity, and an intense feel on the mid-palate, this has energy and tension. Forest berry fruits on the finish. An appealing struck flint note on the nose and palate at this young stage. No great length, but well balanced. A blend of four lieux-dits from the Blonde side: La Triote, Le Combard, Le Mollard et Lancement (gneiss bedrock); 18 months in barriques, 15% new oak.
